The second mix of the #Walmart Exclusive, Automotive Themed Assortment (GDG44) is called #Tooned Gulf. This is a very special #Case Report as I was able to buy a factory-sealed case off of eBay for a decent price so I can show you how the assortment breaks down.
When Ryu Asada brought noppo-style “tooned” cars to the Hot Wheels mainline, they were met with a mixed reaction from collectors as Hot Wheels had gone down the #Tooned route before. Many of those tooned castings were introduced from 2003 to 2005 with only a few surviving past the first couple of years. This new breed of tooned cars features mostly licensed vehicles with shortened bodies and elongated roofs pillars — a style of vehicle Ryu remembered fondly from his childhood in Japan. Even after Ryu’s passing in 2021, the Hot Wheels Design Team continued this style of tooned vehicle.
Now, these noppo-style Tooned cars get their own segment in the Hot Wheels Silver Series — a semi-premium line by Hot Wheels featuring full detail, special wheels, and sometimes a metal/metal casting. #Tooned Gulf features these tooned cars with #Gulf Racing liveries. Gulf Racing has long been a popular livery in the Hot Wheels realm.
I unboxed one of these 10-count cases on the OTD YouTube Channel within the full #Case Report that you see here. Tune in and let me know what you think. I noticed something super special with one of the vehicles in this mix. Let me know your thoughts.

Hot Wheels Silver Series cases (GDG44) are exclusive to Walmart in the United States and contain only 10 vehicles, unlike Hot Wheels basics cases which have 72. In this mix, you will get the case breakdown seen below which can also been seen in the unboxing video above.
