The last Hot Wheels #Pop Culture case assortment is here for 2024. Mix 6 (F case) only contains 4 releases amongst the 10 vehicles in the case, but brings two premium releases to retail, introduces a new casting, and gives collectors a second chance at adding a favorite.
Earlier this year, the #Batman Forever Batmobile went from basics (mainline) to premium when it received the premium treatment for the Batman 85th Anniversary set at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). Obviously, that is a hard (and expensive) premium to chase so Hot Wheels collectors eager to add a premium version to their bat cave will be happy to know this is one of the vehicles in this case that comes three to the case. Was anyone else a huge fan of the Val Kilmer Batman?
Another vehicle in this mix was only previously released at SDCC. This marks the first time Action Comics #1 – Action Sedan can be found at retail, and only the second time it has been released. The first version was a 2018 #SDCC Exclusive. Action Comics #1 is famously known as the first appearance of Superman in the comic book world, and that previous release had packaging that recreated the cover of that comic — it even came with a miniature Superman lifting the car. This release is a little different as it features sketch line graphics following the distinct shape of the vehicle.
One of the biggest movies of 2022 was Top Gun: Maverick. Two years later we get the jet featured in the movie in diecast form. The F/A-18E Super Hornet makes it’s debut in Pop Culture, and is a nice companion piece to the Hot Wheels Grumman F-14 Tomcat from the original Top Gun (1986) released in 2021 — and again in 2022.
Lastly, the #Porsche 911 Turbo (930) is the lone repeat. The Cyberpunk 2077 deco is a futuristic take on a classic frame. This is the other vehicle that comes 3x per case and shouldn’t have a hard time flying off the pegs based on the success of the first release in 2022 and all the releases of the casting after that.
